FEES
The charge for Notary service is $2.50 per notary signature, as recommended by the state of New Jersey, Department of Treasury.
Bergen & Passaic Counties: The charge for our Mobile Notary services travel Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM is $50.00.
*Hawthorne, NJ Residents Only: Mobile Notary services travel is "FREE" Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
*Mobile Notary Service travel after 5:00 PM Monday - Friday, Weekends, and Holidays - an additional $10.00. $50 + $10.
*Counties outside Bergen and Passaic, Mobile Notary Services travel will be an additional fee based on mileage. $50 + mileage.
USER RESPONSIBILITIES
Valid government-issued photo identification is required of any person seeking our Notary Service.
All documents must be signed in the presence of our Notary Public.
All document signers must personally appear before our Notary Public.
In order to serve as a witness, the witness must personally know the person whose document is being notarized and must be in possession of valid photo identification.
LIMITATIONS
New Jersey law requires that a Notary Public must be able to read the documents to be notarized. Documents in any language other than English will not be notarized by our Notary Public Service.
New Jersey law requires that a Notary Public and the person seeking notarization be able to communicate directly with each other. Proactive Computer Solutions Notary Public are not permitted to make use of a translator to communicate with a person seeking notarization at this time.
Our Notary Public Service is not available for Real Estate Transactions, Deeds, Wills, Living Wills, Living Trusts, Codicils, Form I-9’s, or Depositions, as these types of documents can require technical or legal knowledge and are beyond the scope of our service offerings as of April 24, 2025. Kindly check back with us later this year (2025) for service offerings of this type.
Proactive Computer Solution Notary Public cannot certify copies of vital records such as birth certificates, death certificates, and marriage certificates as these types of notarial acts can require technical knowledge as to the validity of documents and are beyond the scope of our service offerings as of April 24, 2025. Kindly check back with us later this year (2025) for service offerings of this type.
In accordance with New Jersey Notarial Law, Notaries will not provide service if the customer, document, or circumstances of the request for Notary Service raises the issue of authenticity, ambiguity, doubt, or uncertainty for Proactive Computer Solutions Notary Public. In this event, the Proactive Computer Solution Notary Public may, at their sole discretion, decline to provide Notary Service.
NOTARY PUBLIC, STATE OF NJ
The New Jersey State Treasurer has determined that the following must be performed in any Notary acknowledgement transaction: “the Notary will review the document presented for completeness. This is not a formal legal review, such as would be performed by an accountant or attorney. Rather, it is a review to ensure there are no blanks in the document. Should blanks be discovered, the signer must either fill them in or strike them out by drawing a line or “X” through them.”
Proactive Computer Solution Notary Public shall correctly maintain a Notary journal of all notarial acts they perform.
The Notary will establish the identity of each signer through personal knowledge or with identification documents. Identification documents must have both a photo and signature.

Do you offer Mobile Notary Service in Delaware?

A New Jersey Notary's jurisdiction is limited to geographical boundaries of New Jersey, and our jurisdiction is statewide. We may perform a notarial act anywhere in New Jersey that we are physically located at the time of notarization. NJSA 52:7-11

If I'd rather not conduct Notary service at our home, can we utilize another venue?

Yes! Coffee shops are ideal! We can meet you at the location of your choice. Preferably an indoor public location.

Can a Notary Public Refuse to Notarize?

A notary must refuse to perform a notarial act if the notary feels:
the transaction is possibly or probably illegal, false, or deceptive
the principal is being coerced.
The principal demeanor raises compelling doubts about whether the principal knows the consequences of signing the document
the situation may compromise the notary's impartiality. NJSA 52:7-10.17

Will we know the Notary Public before they arrive?

Yes! As of 4/24/2025 we have one Notary Public on staff handling mobile notary public. He is listed on this landing page with commission ID you can fact check with New Jersey. He will also present his ID upon arrival.

Do you offer onsite services like UPS?

We do not have a physical store location like UPS or FedEx that you can schedule and visit. Our service is strictly mobile (New Jersey Jurisdiction) and soon to be remote/electronic.
